Linda McKenzie: (BAHons) GIS: Analyses and Decision Making

Linda McKenzie is a Professional Geomatics Practitioner, based in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. She founded Digital Earth in 2011 after several years of managing a GIS Unit for a local company. Linda has loved maps and atlases from a young age and has worked in the Geomatics industry for over 20 years, locally as well as internationally and in both the private and public sector. She has extensive experience in the preparation of high-quality, informative maps specialising in mapping for LUMS, SDF's, land audits, books and digital apps and a broad range of environmental mapping applications. She also served on the GISSA Mpumalanga committee for 8 years, initially in the capacity of Treasurer and later as Vice-Chairperson and as such, has a broad understanding of the Geomatics industry and its importance in assisting and informing the process of planning for the future.

Duncan McKenzie - Director

Terrestrial Ecologist

NDip: Nature Conservation

Duncan has been involved in biodiversity assessments for various developments for over 16 years. Countries of work experience include Lesotho, eSwatini, Mali, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Morocco, Guinea, South Africa, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Duncan previously worked as a Regional Coordinator for the Mondi Wetlands Project and has lectured on many aspects of conservation across South Africa. He is currently the Mpumalanga Regional Co-ordinator and member of the Steering Committee of the Southern African Bird Atlas Project 2, a Trustee of the John Voelcker Bird Book Fund (Robert's bird books) and is lead author of The Birds of Mbombela and the Roberts Birds of the Kruger National Park. Duncan is a Certificated Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP).
